& there are diffrences between boys & girls, no matter what anybody says. big diffrences, big like cracks in glaciars. the whole internal chemical cocktail is diffrent, for one. hell, loads of things are diffrent. i hardly need to explain. on top of that, there are these lowest common denominator social constructs. things that result from, for instance, the fact that boys are physically bigger, or in the most major way, the fact that girls can have babies & boys can't. this sort of shit is intresting to me.
yeah, yeah, sexuality is the other obvious choice. but i'm not intrested in sexuality. fuck who you want to fuck! sure, wanting to fuck people you can't have babies with is diffrent, but no big whoop to me. its intresting, sure, but not particularly eye-catching to me. "alternative" sexualities like transgender etc? i don't want to sound condescending, but those are outliers. that is the sort of stuff that hangs around the fringes. thats not a judgement call or anything, i'm just saying it hardly counts as something to which i can apply the broad generalizations neccisary for a cut-rate research paper. i'll leave that sort of thing to hollywood (hello my big, fat, drag queen recital or whatever! welcome to the american cinema tradition of thinking dudes in chicks close or vice versa is HILLARIOUS!)
the monsters, well. you can imagine the cast i'm assembling. the star will probably will navidson's house, but there will be major appearances by cthulhu, the hive queen from aliens, moby dick, grendel & his mother, & twin peaks BOB. though the paper won't be about the monsters as much as it will be about the people who chase (or don't chase) after them. really, it is kind of a boyish idea to go into the house, or investigate the lovecraft mythos, etc. though in kill bill the girl goes on her bloody ramapage, thats revenge. thats medea & erzulie's petro aspect & all kinds of women scorned tradition. though albeit with a bit of a better cause.
