questions from scythrop

1. Do you collect anything? If not, what would you?

i only very sporadically collect anything. i have a small collection of blue glass objects, & a couple of marble eggs from when i was a kid & thought they would hatch dragons. i don't really go in for the whole collector motiff in alot of ways; i don't need transformers still in the package or precious moments figurines. i'm also not pretentious enough to say some bulllshit "i collect scars" or whatever. especially as it isn't true. i suppose if i were to collect, it would be books; i mean, i have a pretty complete neil gaiman & jeff noon collection. then again, i just want the text to read; i don't need "black cover edition" & "blue cover edition."

2. When and how did you get into role-playing games?

i started roleplaying with james trigillio when i was around eleven or twelve (11-12). the first games i dabbled into were teenage mutant ninja turtles & the old redbook dnd. after that, i kept on playing with various people; i really havn't ever had the hiatus from roleplaying that alot of people have had. i've had an occasional drought now & then, but it isn't like i've come back into roleplaying like alot of neuvo geeks. i'm classic old school.

3. What's the biggest problem in American higher education today?

shit, like i fucking know? i might say the lack of mentorship, as dumb as that may sound. the fact that everything is automated & concerned with taking tests & with passing classes, not with education. college is a system to obtain a diploma. & thats just dumb.

4. Describe your relationship with your parents.

well its like this: i'm not intrested in my parents. biology is intresting only when applied to others. me, i don't feel tied to them. i havn't spoken to my father in several years; stalking was involved, as was the question of a couple thousand dollars. my mother is still around. it doesn't particularly bother me, but i don't really care about her, either way. caring is something that i can not do out of obligation.

5. How important is a musical artist's image?

rock & roll, i suppose. but to be honest, most music i listen to any more? i don't know what the attached face looks like. mp3s & mix cds will do that. i've never even seen what isaac brock looks like, for instance. so i suppose my answer is "not at all." though in the most disasembling way possible.

Here's the deal:
If you want me to interview you, post a comment that simply says, "Interview me." I'll respond with questions for you to take back to your own journal and answer as a post. Of course, they'll be different for each person since this is an interview and not a general survey. At the bottom of your post, after answering the Interviewer's questions, you ask if anyone wants to be interviewed. So it becomes your turn--in the comments, you ask them any questions you have for them to take back to their journals and answer. And so it becomes the circle.
Who will play? May I interview you? -- Originally from
