blaine devotee.

forsaking the the superstition held by most of the city, the blaine devotee realizes that blaine the man was not a paladin, but in fact a skilled warrior who was also a scholar of musty tomes & an arcane spell caster. they, like he, seek to harmonize their dual disciplines into a whole, becoming schooled wizards & veteran soldiers. armed with their swords forged from the rock that fell from the sky nine hundred (900) years ago, they are wisely regarded with caution by those few who are aware of them.

base attack +4
knowledge blaine: 6 ranks.
profeciency with martial weapons.
must be able to cast level 2 spells.

hit dice: d8

1 +0 +2 +0 +2 arterial strike
2 +1 +3 +0 +3 + one level of spell caster level, ignore 10% spell failure.
3 +2 +3 +1 +3 ignore 15% spell failure.
4 +3 +4 +1 +4 + one level of spell caster level, ingenious circumvention.
5 +3 +4 +1 +4 ignore 20% spell failure.
6 +4 +5 +2 +5 + one level of spell caster, improved critical.
7 +5 +5 +2 +5 ignore 25% spell failure.
8 +6 +6 +2 +6 + one level of spell caster level, improved critical multiplier.
9 +6 +6 +3 +6 ignore 30% spell failure.
10+7+7 +3 +7 + one level of spell caster level, that deadliest blow.

arterial strike allows the devotee to effect wounding damage on the round a blow is dealt, effectively gaining +1 damage with a sword of wounding on creatures capable of being wounded.

ingenious circumvention grants the devotee his int bonus to his armor class.

that deadliest blow is a power that once per day, permits the caster to do maximum damage on the base die with a successful critical hit.
