Lurking in the shallowest of waters, the roarshark's dappled, tooth-covered skin hides it, allowing it to approach its prey. The patterns on its skin, which appear as symmetrical, uneven blotches, shift & deform under scrutiny, luring its prey into a stupor, allowing the roarshark to strike.
These evil denizens of waterways typically prey on children, halflings, goblins, gnomes, or other small creatures.
When confronted, it typically lets out its disrupting roar the first round, & then latches on to the weakest opponent, trying to tear them in half with it's rend ability. It relies on the confusing pattern of its skin to distract any other opponents.
Sonic Roar: The roarshark can let loose a cone of sonic pain, dealing 9d4 (half on successful reflex save DC 16) to all those within it. It can use this ability ever 1d4 rounds.
Rend: A roarshark that ends it's turn grappling an opponent automatically deals an additional 2d8+6 as it thrashes about with the prey in it's jaws.
Befuddling Patterns: Each round spent viewing a roarshark, opponents must make a DC 18 will save or act as under the confusion spell, only replace a "flee" (51-70) result with "babble incomprehensibly" (21-50), & opponents effected to "attack the nearest creature" (71-100) will not attack the roarshark.
Camoflauge: A roarshark has a +10 bonus to hide, & can hide in plain sight (as the ranger ability)
